My heart is sad but happy all at the same time.

On Saturday January 19, 2013 I lost my big sister

She had been fighting for such a long time so I know she is now at peace and able to breath but it is still hard to just let go without the tears.

We didn't always get along but then we ended up marrying best friends and we became best friends.

I know she is in Heaven now with all of our other family members that have gone before her and I know I will see her again.

 

On Sunday November 18, 2012 I lost my Grandmother also. She was my hero and my rock.

 

I will always love you both and miss you

Time Flies

Don't know where the year has gone. Computer went crazy for about two months and still not 100% but better.

Cody is now a Senior and wanting to go to Clemson next fall to get his PhD in Physics. Way over my head. LOL

I have been taking cake decorating classes and really loving it. I have always wanted to do this so now I am. Wish there was some where closer to take culinary classes but I don't want to drive an hour and a half to take them. Well maybe I can post more now.

SUMMER

Well not to much going on here but 100+ degrees so been staying in as much as possible. Got fresh peaches and made homemade peach ice cream. It was great planning on making peach cakes today.

Cody went to Palmetto Boys State and had a great time. He was tired went he got home. LOL

Kitchen

Well I have been cooking in my kitchen since May 20.

Still don't have a dish washer.... well guess I do ME! LOL

Mine went crazy before Christmas. It works but not like it should. Needs a new touch panel and they are on back order. Think it would be better to just get a new one. LOL

What a great night last night. The bands sounded wonderful. So proud of each of these young men and women.

Paul Revere & the Raiders

The next weekend at Disney's Epcot we got to see Paul Ravere & the Raiders. It was the best show and I haven't laughed so much in my life. LOL If you ever get a chance to see them it is so worth it.

Chubby Checkers

We got to see Chubby Checkers at Epcot while we were at Disney and yes he can still do the twist. It was so much fun watching him and hearing all the old songs. Course I only know them from my parents I ain't that old. LOL

DISNEY

What a wonderful time we had at DISNEY WORLD last week. The band marched as the opener for the Electric parade and did such a wonderful job. So proud of the young men and women that went.

Got back and had a bad cold so just now getting back to being on computer.

RIP Uncle Calvin

I love you Uncle Calvin and will miss you. I know the past few years has been so hard for you and I know you are finally at peace. Walking and talking with other loved ones.

You were like a second father to me all my life and I am proud to have had you in my life.

You and Aunt Boots were married 50 years ago today March 24, 1962. What a great thing to be able to say that.

It is so hard for me to believe Cody turned 17 yesterday.

He has truly been a blessing to me.

Close to finishing Kitchen

Man came over Tuesday to see about making a cabinet for the corner under my windows without have so much wasted space. Ordered a cool sink so just waiting on both of those and then I can do back spalsh, counter tops and floor. Then CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN my house. LOL

My baby will be 17 Saturday the 17th.

Where has the time gone. Getting ready for College and it seems like only yesterday he was born.

I haven't been online much the past few weeks still trying to finish my kitchen (don't feel like I ever will) LOL

Cody got his academic letter for the past two years Monday night along with 356 other students at Laurens High School. So proud of all of them.

Hopefully I will get the guy out here to make me a special cabinet for the corner under my windows and I can finish up the kitchen and

Well still been working on Kitchen we have upper cabinets almost done. Can't believe how much countertops are. Hope to get up to Simpsonville Tomorrow to look for some.

Well I got the paint Sunday and started on my cabinets. We are, well I mean I am, painting old canimets for now and Keith says we will replace them later. With Cody getting ready to go to college in another year it is hard to just spend a lot of money for just anything. I am going to have to post photos soon are everyone may thing I am joking about doing my kitchen. LOL

Whoo Hoo been a great day. Got my cabinets done. I can start putting stuff in them tomorrow. Then I can start on the rest of the kitchen. Maybe I can get new cabinets for rest of the kitchen now. LOL Fingers crossed (toes too) LOL

My cousin little Joe came and got papa's table. It was his great grandfather and who he was named after. So glad he wanted it and has somewhere to put it. It was six feet long and three feet wide so really no where in my kitchen for it. I know table is over 40 years old. Glad it has a good home now.
