Cody got up throwing up this morning. He is feeling better tonight but not going to let him go to NHS party tomorrow. This crud is going around school so not taking chances. Got doors back on cabinets tonight after another coat of poly.

Well I got primer on walls Friday night and then Keith came home and had to fix some spots. Compound didn't dry so got nothing done yesterday. Today I did get another coat of primer up and hope to get paint on the walls tomorrow. Then I can get cabinets up and some thing put up I hope. Then on to the other 2 walls. This is making me depressed. Can't wait until it is all done.

Well It has been quite a week so far. Saturday Cody and I went to Seth's Birthday party. Then Sunday was Charli's Birthday party. Can't believe those two will be 4 already. After we got home Keith started measuring the kitchen. He hated the shelves I put up so back to Greenwood to buy 4 pantry type cabinets for there and paint. So I had to pack up everything in there and we started working on the walls to get them ready for paint. Going to be a long couple of weeks looks like. I did get the ceiling painted and it looks so much better. Well I am really tired so going to go now.

We  got the chance this Summer to go to South Dakota and Wyoming where the country is so beautiful. This is the Corn Palace in South Dakota. It is so cool to see the designs on this building. Wonderful day today. I found the student account list for 2008 back. WOOHOO. Got lucky going through boxes that were brought into band room in October. So glad I was able to find that today. Makes it so much easier to get student accounts done now. Hope you have had a great day.

We let Cody drive and decide where to go. He drove us to Augusta.... well almost there. He had to stop before we got into GA. LOL Had a great time walking around the mall. Got a call while there and sold two more dolls. So now to get my house organized so I can start making my dolls and got to get a quilt done before May.

WOW I didn't post yesterday trying to get my kitchen done. Keith got to come home early so I had to do as much as I could before he got here. Then what did he say about all my work? You should have painted first!!!! If I had the kitchen would have still been a mess today. Oh well I tried. Yea it would be better if I had painted but give me a break. I did the best I could with the time I had. Guess I will try and paint when he goes back on first in a few weeks.

I have had a very productive day today. Got shelves cleaned off and table ripped out of kitchen. LOL Didn't even tear the floor when I took table out. Was afraid it would. Went to Lowe's and got new shelves for kitchen that won't shake when I put something on them. (At least I hope they don't) LOL

I got some walking in today around the Haywood Mall and Walmart. LOL. Now just to get back to drinking my water everyday. Took Keith to airport and I miss him already. Well third week into new year and back in the Doctors office.

This time it was Cody.

He has the stomach flu.... YUCK!

I am still coughinging and my hands are swelling so I am now on prednisone

Cody's Toes

Well Cody had is surgery yesterday and he is doing great.

He is eating and going almost like normal.

He waddles when he walks and it looks funny but he wanted to go to Walmart today so guess he is OK. He does have some pain but not like we thought he would.

A young man that went to Cody's High School and graduated Thursday night was killed around 4 AM Friday morning.

He had been out partying and crashed his truck into a tree at a high speed with no seat belt on.

I pray for his family and friends and hope they lean on the Lord to get them through this.

I also hope others look at what he did and think twice about doing the same thing.

Hey, don't pull that sheet over my head! I can't be dead. I'm only 17. I've got a date tonight. I'm supposed to grow up and have a wonderful life. I haven't lived yet. I can't be dead!
Later I was placed in a drawer. My folks had to identify me. Why did they have to see me like this? Why did I have to look at Mom's eyes when she faced the most terrible ordeal of her life? Dad suddenly looked like an old man. He told the man in charge, "Yes, he is my son."
The funeral was a weird experience. I saw all my relatives and friends walk toward the casket. They passed by, one by one, and looked at me with the saddest eyes I've ever seen. Some of my buddies were crying. A few of the girls touched my hand and sobbed as they walked away.
Please -- somebody -- wake me up! Get me out of here! I can't bear to see my mom and dad so broken up. My grandparents are so racked with grief they can hardly walk. My brothers and sisters are like zombies. They move like robots. In a daze, everybody. No one can believe this. And I can't believe it, either.
Please don't bury me! I'm not dead! I have a lot of living to do! I want to laugh and run again. I want to sing and dance. Please don't put me in the ground. I promise if you give me one more chance, God, I'll be the most careful driver in the whole world. All I want is one more chance!

Where has the time gone?

I can't believe it has been so long since I last blogged.

I really need to get organized and work harder at managing my time. School will be out here June the 3th even though Cody doesn't have to go the last 2 days.

He will have his foot surgery on June the 4th as far as we know right now.

He made Rotary Club Top 10 of his class this year and they had them a lunching to give them their Certificates. He has also Lettered in Band and Academics.

So we are so proud of him.

Hope he continues so he will get lots of college money. LOL

HAWAII

Aloha, Well We left on April 2nd and flew to Hawaii for a fun filled week. We saw so many Beautiful things and enjoyed the company on so many great people. We got back April 9 at 12:30PM after flying home all night. I learned that it is impossible for me to sleep on a plane. LOL

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend.

Went to the mountains and even though we couldn't go to

Mt. Mitchell we still had a great time.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is closed due to snow and trees.

As you can see in the photos Cody and Keith had a blast throwing snow balls at each other and me. LOL

It was 60 degrees with all that snow.

Keith took my hard driver to have it cloned to a 1.5 tb hard drive

We got more snow today,

Started around 9:30AM and just now slowing down.

Only thing is it was too warm to really stick.

Rested

Well after Monday I had trouble sleeping and get the rest my body needed.

So I have taken this weekend to sleep and rest.

If I get where I don't sleep Like this week has been my heart starts to act up again but at least it doesn't catch and go to over 200 beats a minute any more.

I just know I have to take it easy and get sleep.

I get migraines also when I haven't had sleep.

Emergency Room

Spend from 2:40PM Monday until 1:15AM Tuesday in the Emergency room with my Father-in-law.

It was over an hour and a half before they even triage him.

He has diabetes and had a virus and had not been able to eat or even drink anything since early Sunday morning.

They Kept him over night so I got home took a bath and was in bed at 2:00AM.

Alarm went off at 5:50AM so 4 hours of sleep.

Bud got to go home today and is keeping food down.

I am going to take my bath and read until I fall asleep.

Saturday

It has been a lazy day here.

We went to eat lunch and bought a faucet for the tub.

Keith just finished that up and now time to take baths.

Would love to go hiking tomorrow but don't know what we will do.

I started doing sit ups Wednesday and boy do my fat abs hurt. LOL

Got a pair of the shape ups Sunday and I have been wearing them all week.

I can feel the burn in my legs.

Well today is a no school day so I slept late.

I have been working to get everything ready for us go to to Hawaii. There is so much paper work to get done for 79 people.

I have to make sure I have it for every person going.

Well we had a beautiful snow yesterday for about 8 or 9 hours.

Ran into an old friend (not saying that he is old or even me for that matter) today.

We haven't seen him since my soon to be 15 year old (oh my) son was about 2 or 3.

It was great to sit and talk to him at lunch today.

Good Sunday Morning to everyone.

Yesterday was a hard day but with the Lords help I made it through.

I had to go to the Funeral home for a 10 day old Baby Girl.

Tori came 2 months early and was fighting hard to make it.

But the Lord needed a another Sweet Angel.

She was a beautiful little girl that her family will miss dearly.

Please Pray for her mom and grandma who seem to be taking it the hardest,

But also Pray for the rest of her family too.

It started raining here last night and is just now moving out of here!

The band field is now a swimming hole.

My yard is not much better.

The lake is completely full!

But after the drought for the past few years I am not going to complain.

I now know why I am not a teacher.

Kids do not respect you!

You tell them something and they look at you like you lost your mind.

Even when it is something they are suppose to do. Like sit down!!!

And if you tell them NO then they beg!

Today I stayed at school and helped with Chair test in band.

It was an interesting day to say the least.

I was very proud of Cody.

He made 3rd chair out of 10 in clarinet.

Even his teacher said he has come along way since July.

Well Cody was back in school today after having 7 days total off.

He not so sure about new Teachers this semester.

Everyone telling how bad they are but first day he said they didn't seem so bad.

Doctors Offices

Cody has had doctor appointments for the last two days.

He doesn't want to miss school so we make them on days out.

Yesterday was the allergist and everything is going great there.

Maybe only a one to two years of shots left.

The shots have really made a difference for him.

Today was a foot specialist about his toes.

He will have to have surgery in June (there waiting until school is out).

He will be on crutches with pins in his toes for six weeks.

Been trying to post everyday but not doing so good this week.

Got home late last night and didn't stay on computer long when I got home.

Boys had to get hair cuts, waited on mom to get off and get her hair cut.

After all the hair cuts we went to eat supper with mom, Gina and Charli.

She would get a mouth full of sprite and spit it in Cody's ear. LOL

He wasn't happy about that. She was wide open just like Cody has always been.

She can talk so well with repeating words and loves to be read too.

Wonderful Day

Today was a great day.

Cody got to exempt his exams for today and tomorrow.

So no school until next Wednesday because of teacher inservice days.

We had to go to dentist for check up and then get his clarinet fixed.

Clarinet only took about 30 minutes to be fixed and didn't get charged to fix it.

Glad it was an easy fix.

So I get to sleep late until next week. LOL

This past weekend was not a good one.

A couple that we know lost their oldest daughter last Friday.

It is so sad to lose some one but it is worse to lose a child.

There as so many people at the Funeral home last night it took us an hour and a half to see the family. When we got home I didn't feel up to blogging.

But guess we will see. It has been in the teens at night for the last week. I have never seen ice on the lake like it has been the past few mornings.

At least my headache is some better today.

Not all gone but better.

Headache

I have had one of my headaches since yesterday.

I have been trying to rest but haven't been sleeping real well.

Today has been one of the days where I feel sick with the headache.

So not going to scrap even through I got a great new kit today from Patty Webb.

Back to School

It was back to school today after 2 weeks off. Thought I would have trouble getting Cody was but I didn't. He got up with no problem and we left early for school. It was 14 degrees this morning but I love my car. Stand at kitchen window and start it up. No going out in the cold to crank car. Heated seats too! LOL

Even Colder day

It has been even colder but I love it!!!

We rode to Atlanta today and had a great time. It is going to get in the mid teens here tonight but I love the cold.

To me it is easier to get warm and to get cool in the heat.

New Year Day

Well I have gotten back into scrapping aftr having finally gotten my hard drive working and not losing anything. I thought it was the drive but it was the case. Then my DIPS didn't want to work right so I am using Microsoft Photo Gallery to see my photos and PSE5 to scrap. I still have DIPS to scrap with but am trying to learn PSE since DIPS in no longer made.

I have made 25 pages since Wednesday night. I have posted 13 of them at Scrappers Workshop Gallery . I made 2 calendars one for Band Director and one for Cody and Carson from Disney World.

New Web Site

WOW!!!!! I can't believe how long it has been since I last BLOGGED. A lot as been going on I stepped down at SOTB as a VIP so that I could work on making baby dolls. I have sat at 3 shows in the heat of South Carolina and sold nothing. But I have sold a dozen dolls just by word of mouth and sitting at places making them. I am setting up a web site to sell them on and hope to have dolls up later today.

TwilasTreasuresSC is my web site so keep a watch out and see my baby dolls when I get them up.
